Boston University cxld football when it had many
other options available. Title IX was partly to blame but BU managed to violate its' intent to
create equity for women. I support Title IX but not if men must lose opportunities to achieve equity when more programs should be implemented for them in the first place place.

The BTUFF organization, based in the Boston area is a group of loyal and supportive BU alumni and friends of Boston University who are campaigning for football's reinstatement. Check their web site at www.btuff.org for more info.

Many changes are due at Boston University! Changes that are long overdue.

BU could support football if it wanted to. Unfortunately the athletic director wanted to kill football as much as Chancellor Silber did. Silber himself stated that football is of no interest at BU, and he may be right if you want to follow a non competitive and unsuccessful program; however, in 1993 and 94, the football program was highly successful and the fans came all by themselves. I guess it is true that when an organization is competitive and successful, it attracts a lot of attention. Perhaps the best way for a losing team to improve is not to fire the team, rather, to fire the coach. If that is not enough, fire management. Why did BU falter so badly after having back to back title seasons in 93 and 94?
It was not only that they lacked talent on the field I assure you.
